The BlackBerry PlayBook has been a hot topic all over the internet, and many people have been wondering if the QNX-built OS (aka BlackBerry Tablet OS) would make its way to BlackBerry smartphones. Apparently a RIM VP confirmed this morning at a DEVCON breakfast event, that the OS would someday replace the current BlackBerry OS. Of course, he wouldn’t go in to great detail, but its expected it would be a lengthy transition similar to Windows Mobile 6 to Windows Phone 7 software, or even Windows Vista to Windows 7. So RIM’s future is starting to look pretty damn good right about now…
